Responsibilities:

 

  • Manages and prioritizes network needs and analyzes project costs. Keeps well-informed on new technologies, industry best practices, and security requirements. Oversees ordering process to meet needs effectively and economically. Participates in the development of proposals, reports, and attends customer meetings, serves as technical liaison with customers.  Interact with vendors, staff and stakeholders. Analyzes current processes and workflows to help the program run efficiently and effectively. Develop policies and procedure documents and ensure conformance with contract, security and program requirements.
  • Manages the team, evaluating, and recommending equipment purchases, ensuring licensing and maintenance agreements are current, and vendor services are current.  Liaise with operational area managers to understand their current and future information needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing operations.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant security requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures are met.  Develop and maintain It security policies, standards and procedures to address compliance requirements and mitigate security risks.  Ensures policies are effectively communicated and enforced throughout the programs. 
  • Conducts regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify security gaps and weaknesses in IT systems and infrastructure.  Collaborate with IT team to implement remediation plans and security controls.  Plans and coordinates internal and external security audits, assessments, and penetration tests to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Performs risk assessment and business impact analysis.  Identifies potential problem areas and single points of failure that may result in interruption to business operations.  Develops safeguards against identified interruptions and implements disaster recovery procedures in the event of a business interruption.
  • Maintain IT incident response plans and procedures to ensure a timely and effective response to security incidents and data breaches.  Conduct post-incident reviews and analysis to identify lessons learned and improve response capabilities. Evaluates and manages IT risks associated with third-party vendors and service providers. Serves as primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, auditors, and other external stakeholders regarding IT risk and compliance matters.  Prepares and presents reports on IT risk and compliance activities, findings, and recommendations.
  • Manages a team of technical personnel in complex networking, application, and security requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of data security administrations, principles, methods, and techniques.
