Staff Accountant

Our client is an interdisciplinary construction, mining, engineering, and management firm headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. They are one of the most respected and reliable organizations in the industry. Since 1989, they have partnered with municipal, state, federal, and private clients to complete projects of all sizes. They pride themselves in providing high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
They are seeking a Staff Accountant to work out of their Knoxville, TN office. responsibilities and qualifications are listed below.

Responsibilities

• General Bookkeeping
• Accounts Receivables
• Taxes
• Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year end close procedures
• Assisting with external/internal audits
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Bank Reconciliation
• Utilizing ERP system software
• General accounting and administrative duties

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in accounting, preferably with an understanding of construction accounting/work in progress
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal)
• Strong technical and organizational skills
