About the Role

As a Summer Intern, you will build on previous work to fit machine learning models to electrolyser data. You will use tools such as ALAMO, Python, and/or MATLAB to train models and uncover new insights from operational data. Your work will support the development of predictive models to forecast long-term electrolyser performance based on cell configuration and short-term operational data.

Key Potential Focus Areas:

• Undergrad or graduate within Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Data Science or similar
• Train machine learning models using Python and/or MATLAB
• Use ALAMO to fit empirical models to polarization curve data
• Analyze operational data to predict long-term electrolyser performance
• Incorporate factors such as temperature, membrane thickness, and catalyst loading into predictive models

Desired Competencies:

• Experience with Python and/or MATLAB
• Familiarity with machine learning models
• Basic understanding of electrochemistry
