Position Overview:
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will use your technical and analytical expertise to deliver meaningful insights that support decision-making across Polaris. You will work closely with analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable reporting. In this role, you will guide others in using BI platforms effectively while ensuring high-quality data practices and governance. You will also shape analytics solutions that help teams better understand performance and improve business outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to influence analytics standards, refine critical data processes, and contribute directly to how the organization leverages data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the analyst community by delivering business insights using shared templates, toolkits, and best practices.
- Serve as a liaison between the BI Platform Team and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring accurate, objective, and actionable insights.
- Lead the development of standard analyses, reports, and dashboards through the use case review process.
- Drive analytics workflows from requirements gathering through data collection, reporting, and visualization.
- Partner with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to determine optimal approaches for data modeling, analysis, and presentation.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support change initiatives informed by analytics insights.
- Design and develop data models and performance metrics that support business strategies and decisions.
- Explore data, technologies, and mathematical techniques to generate meaningful business insights.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics or related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in analytics or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with SQL queries, data modeling, and data visualization tools.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with Power BI.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand business operations to contextualize analytical findings.
- Experience with Alteryx preferred.
- Demonstrated application of statistical analysis to create recommendations and identify solutions preferred.
- Extensive experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and Alteryx workflows preferred.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $90,000 to $119,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
