About the role

 

 

 

Summary of Job Duties:  The program director is responsible for directing day-to-day operation of the assigned program and implementing programmatic and administrative policies and procedures in order to attain program goals and objectives.  The program director is also responsible for making programmatic as well as administrative recommendations to the mental health director, substance abuse and/or children service director in accordance with the agency/program goals and objectives.

 Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  This position may require a Master’s Degree from an accredited school in social work, psychology, nursing, professional counseling or another related field.  Meets Licensure Requirements for their respective boards if required by their degree of education; or

Certification in Chemical Dependency may be required; or a person with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Human Services or a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and one year experience or; a Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree in Nursing and three years’ experience.  Submit to and pass a criminal record check and a drug screening test.

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am until 4:30 pm   Evening and weekend hours may be required.

This position reports directly to the Regional Program Director/Center Director and/or the Executive Director.

 

Summary of Job Duties: The Site Program Supervisor is responsible for the development and day to day operation of a program.  These programs can be, but not limited to the following:

Residential Treatment for Chemical Dependency

Adult/Children Crisis Stabilization Units

Residential Program for Adults with Severe Mental Illness

Day Treatment Programs for Adults with Severe Mental Illness

School Based Program

Family Preservation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following:

 

  • Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the overall operation of designated program.
  • Assist in policy, procedure and system development and implementation.
  • Provide leadership, program and policy direction.
  • Assist in the establishment of policies, procedures, and system development to meet all licensing and accreditation requirements.
  • Recruits, selects and evaluates the performance of personnel who are involved in the day to day operation of the program.
  • Responsible for overall productivity of the program to meet standards per agency policy.
  • Responsible for evaluating the program’s effectiveness and improving the overall performance.
  • Operate the program in a cost effective manner and monitors revenues and expenditures.
  • Make an assessment of and determine the clinical interventions for the assigned consumers.  The population can include: children, adolescents, adults with behavioral health needs and developmental delays.
  • Implement a treatment plan based on assessment data as well as a sound knowledge base of standards of professional practice and principles of their respected discipline.
  • Privileges will be granted for the practice of non-intrusive, individual, group, family and marital/couple, psychotherapy, and screening/diagnostic assessment based on experience, training or supervised clinical experience. Privileges will be determined based on self-assessment, demonstrated competencies and input from clinical supervisor. Additional privileges can be sought and obtained through demonstrated competencies, continuing education units and in-service trainings.
  • Provide care based on ethical concepts, adhering to established standards of practice and will engage in activities or behaviors that characterize professionals.
  • Ensure the accuracy, content and completeness of client files.
  • Provide services within time requirement as set forth in Agency policy and procedures.
  • Provide services as documented in client treatment plan.
  • Refrain from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position.
  • Respond to emergency situation in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with other team members, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and independently, when necessary.
