Position Summary
At Stony Brook Medicine, our Technical Operations Manager / Electrical - Health Sciences Center (HSC) & East Campus (EC) Research Buildings incumbent is to provide Management oversight for the HSC & EC Research Buildings.
Duties of the Technical Operations Manager / Electrical - HSC & EC Research Buildings may include the following, but are not limited to;
- Responsible for all employee evaluations and employee performance documentation.
- Responsible for the management of assigned staff and budgets of the HSC & EC Research Buildings department.
- Responsible for the daily operation of the HSC & EC Research Buildings.
- Responsible for developing quality controls and improvements.
- Responsible for the review and implementation of all Plant Operations policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the service and maintenance contracts for the HSC & EC Research Buildings.
- Responsible for the The Joint Commission (TJC) compliance for all assigned areas.
- Oversee maintenance and ensure reliability of the Hospital P-Tube system, Nurse call systems, and generators.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
An Associate’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Systems, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related technical field and at least five (5) years of progressively responsible management experience in electrical systems, construction, maintenance, or structural systems operations.
Or in lieu of an Associate’s degree, at least ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the management, maintenance, or oversight of electrical and/or structural systems, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
Preferred:
- Hospital, healthcare, and/or medical setting experience.
