THE ROLE
The Corporate - Internal Audit department in Houston, TX is currently looking for a dynamic, energetic, and detail-oriented Internal Audit Intern who is eager to learn about our company and join our Americas Internal Audit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing administrative and clerical duties as needed, as well as shadow and communicate effectively with staff at all levels to quickly understand business processes, identify potential risk areas and help devise practical solutions to issues affecting our company.
The Internal Audit Internship provides a unique opportunity to gain real world experience with the world’s leading live entertainment company. This is a paid, in-person internship reporting to the Internal Audit Management team and provides on-the-job experience in finance, accounting, and auditing in the fun and enjoyable music industry. Applicants should be in the Houston area during employment to be considered and are expected to work in person and be on-site at our Live Nation office in Houston at least two days (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) each week.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Assist lead auditor during the various phases of the assigned audit engagement
- Assist in testing and evaluation of internal controls related to the Group’s accounting and financial reporting functions in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Asist with the preparation of audit test plans, data analytics, uploading data and preparing documents request lists
- Prepare and complete audit work programs and document control test results and findings
- Gain an understanding of processes currently in review within each location and identify key controls and risks.
- Assessing risks and evaluating the department's internal control structure
- Assist in gathering of information and formatting of data requests
- Fulfilling Ad-hoc tasks / projects set out by audit team and supervisory management
- Attend meetings and take notes
- Adhere to department policies, procedures, and control expectations
- Other duties as assigned
