Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Ports and Marine for an opportunity to be based in New Orleans, LA.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manages one or more complex projects, involving a combination of the following
  • Projects involving a full spectrum of engineering services offered by AECOM
  • Provides project and technical task management for one or more simultaneous projects
  • Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and makes recommendations
  • Managing design activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, ports and harbors, coastal DOD facilities
  • Conducting presentations to client and other stake holders
  • Authoring reports and proposals 
  • Client Relationships: Ability to assist in developing new client relationships and to strengthen existing client relationships
  • Identify, understand, and focus on clients’ key requirements
  • Commercial: Commercially aware, clear understanding of factors that affect risk and profitability

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM:

  • BA/BS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • PE Registration Louisiana or ability to obtain immediately upon acceptance of position
  • A Motor Vehicle Check will be required for this position

PREFERRED:

  • BS in Structural, Civil Engineering or Maritime Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience on Port or DOD projects
  • Experience on Site Development projects
  • Previous experience in leading projects to required quality, timeliness, and budget parameters
  • Previous experience in maintaining client relationships
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in planning, design, and CM
  • Experience in team leadership

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.  The salary range for this position typically is $125,000 to $210,000
