Are you passionate about working with young children and making a meaningful impact every day? The Goddard School of Urbana is looking for a caring, energetic, and collaborative Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant team!

This is a wonderful opportunity to help shape young minds in a supportive, play-based learning environment where every day is filled with discovery, creativity, and growth.

What You’ll Do
Support Lead Teachers in implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans

• Foster children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through meaningful interactions
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
• Communicate with families about their child’s progress and daily activities
• Collaborate with a team of educators to create a positive, fun learning atmosphere
• Supervise children during play and ensure their safety at all times
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development
• Assist with classroom organization and administrative tasks

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma (required); CDA or relevant certification preferred
• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
• Experience in a preschool or childcare setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for early childhood education
• Ability to pass background check requirements
• A positive, nurturing, and dependable attitude
