Job Summary:
Assists in leading and directing the overall operation of the facility in accordance with resident needs, governmental regulations, and company policies, with the main objective of maintaining quality care for the residents and achieving business and financial goals for the facility.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with planning, developing, and implementing operational strategies.
- Provides administrative direction at the direction or in the absence of the Administrator.
- Assists in monitoring resident/family/employee satisfaction through regular communication, consistent rounds throughout the care community, and the use of satisfaction surveys, response analyses and performance plans to continually improve services. Identifies concerns and manages complaints.
- Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing and support staff on assigned units. Contributes to performance evaluations of staff.
- Serves as an integral part of the leadership team providing support and initiative for all programs, projects, and facility census goals.
- Represents administration in the implementation of the facility Quality Assurance (QA) program.
- Monitors and oversees new hire orientation and mentorship. Ensures that all elements of required education and training are provided.
- Works with the Administrator and Finance to develop required budgets and other financial reports. Provides support to department managers in the ongoing financial management of their departments.
- Supports compliance and employee safety initiatives and requirements.
- Assists the Administrator to ensure audits and survey preps are completed timely.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Graduate of Accredited Nursing School (ADN acceptable)
EXPERIENCE
- Three years' registered nurse experience, with one year in leadership
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
