Senior Analyst, Finance Services

About the roles

 

Currently seeking 3 (three) Sr. Analysts in Finance Services.  These roles can be located in Syracuse, Brooklyn, NY or Waltham, MA.

Job Purpose

 

To review financial documents (e.g. contracts, financial reports) and provides recommendations regarding financial implications. Assists in developing reports and reviewing for accuracy, and responsible for collecting financials and performance documents to assist in reporting.
 

Key Accountabilities

• Apply technical standards and analysis to complex accounting practices and transactions in accordance local accounting principles.
• Research and monitor activities of all accounting standards and reporting practices to provide proactive revisions to policies and standards.
• Participate in creation of accounting policy documentation, ensuring implementation in Finance.
• Works directly with the business to provide technical accounting perspectives and conclusions on a timely basis for proposed transactions, including comparisons of conclusions based on structures.
• Provides financial and performance reporting on spend and operational costs.
• Generate insight to linking operational performance (effectiveness, efficiency) with financial performance.
• Utilize visualization and build dashboards to review organizational performance.
• Provide support and analysis to evaluate financial and regulatory impacts of various initiatives and projects enabling prioritization and decision making.

 

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

• Act as mentor and reviewer to both team members and those external to the team to transfer knowledge around the business.
• Good verbal/written communication skills.
• Effective collaboration and partnership capabilities.
• Working as part of a team but able to work on own initiative when required.

 

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree
• Bachelor's Degree - Taxation
• Bachelor's Degree (Desirable)
• Master's Degree (Desirable)
• CPA (Desirable)

DNY:  $95,000-$112,000

MA:  $89,000-$105,000

UNY:  $79,000-$93,000

 

Salary commensurate with experience and location
