Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Strategy, Culture & Operations plays a crucial role in driving organizational effectiveness within Commercialization BI&T by supporting and implementing strategies aligned with key priorities. This position requires collaboration across various departments, a detail-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining operational focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Participate in the development of short-term and long-range strategic plans based on organizational goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Commercialization BI&T teams as well as cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Procurement, to ensure effective implementation of strategies and processes.
- Project Management: Lead and manage special strategic initiatives from ideation to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Financial Data Analysis & Management: Analyze financial data to generate insights that inform strategic decisions and improve operational processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in existing workflows and propose solutions for optimization, automation, and enhanced data utilization.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for Commercialization BI&T teams and management, summarizing project outcomes and strategic recommendations.
- Communications: Responsible for core communications activities and related content, such as newsletters, town halls, culture events, team meetings, and more.
- Culture: Drive cultural initiatives and spearhead programs aimed at strengthening culture across Commercialization BI&T.
- Workforce Strategy: Responsible for workforce strategy, including headcount management, skillsets, and organizational charts.
Qualifications & Experience
- BA or BS Required, advanced scientific or graduate degree highly preferred
- Ability to assess and optimizing user experience with communications channels through analytics (eg, websites, SharePoint, social media, etc.)
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to effectively interface with senior management
- Demonstrated communications experience including planning, writing, editing, designing and the production of newsletters, email banners, infographics, marketing literature, and other print or online material
- Experience in public speaking and group facilitation; ability to develop and clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences is required
- Excellent project leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to lead a project and develop collaborative relationships with multi-disciplinary stakeholders
- Self-motivated with exceptional follow-through
- Must be organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
