Intern Safety

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Shadow Site Safety Manager and other department leads to gain an in-depth understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
• Assist in day-to-day tasks and special projects as assigned.
• Learn and observe best practices in areas such as EHS, project management, construction management, and team collaboration.
• Support cross-functional efforts to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness (e.g., training).

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited EHS-related degree program.
• Strong interest in learning about EHS compliance and practical applications, as well as business operations.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to adapt, learn, and engage with new challenges.

 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Ability to walk and perform site inspections 70% of the day. In various environmental conditions (cold, heat, wind, and various forms of precipitation). Also, noise exposure can exceed 85 DB. 
• Lift up to 35 pounds.
• Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, and walking significant distances.
• Visual ability (20/20 corrected or uncorrected) to observe and detect signs of danger.
