About the role

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

Your task as a Manager Demand Planning is the creation of the Wholesale Demand Plan for your respective categories. The Demand Plan is the basis for Purchasing and significantly influences the inventory management/stock turn and availability. Therefore, it is also the foundation for reaching sales and inventory targets. Main KPI is the Demand Plan accuracy in consideration of availability and inventory levels.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Planning

 

  • Responsible for creating and updating the Rolling Demand Plan (RDP) for defined business segments on article and size level for Wholesale
    • Forecast extrapolation  
    • Create analyses and statistics
    • Ensure pre-order business
    • Balance the product availability for the re-order period
    • Monthly distribution of the RDP reflecting market demand
    • Create and update size curves
  • Observance of local and global timelines and deadlines
  • Liaise with cross-function departments on time (Marketing, Sales, Purchasing)
  • Observe markets regarding changes, chances and risks
  • Support to coordinate required omnichannel DP activities across the different channel DP teams and communicate with relevant stakeholders (e.g., BU, Purchasing) to ensure smooth execution.

 

 

 

 

Ranging & BU strategy

 

  • Execution of DP processes to support strategic initiatives to fulfill BU requirements
  • Provide analysis for BU marketing to enable a fact-based decision making for future strategy
  • Support and consult the Merchandising teams throughout the range creation and identify R&O based on analysis of the current business development
  • Support or lead BU projects
  • Coordinate the BU launch process for WHS

 

 

If applicable:

  • Process ownership:
    • ensure x-channel alignment in execution based on meaningful and standardized documentation, supported by the required level of communication
  • Allocation management:
    • Support the BU Marketing with the lifecycle strategy
    • Coordinate the allocations across channel across the season
    • Establish and maintain a meaningful tracking and reporting to allow fact-based decision making
  • Projects:
    • Support or Lead Demand Planning relevant projects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Very good analytical skills
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Advanced SAP knowledge (SCM & AFS)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (PP, Word)
  • Very good communication skills
  • Fluent in English and another European language in writing and speaking

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years of work experience in demand planning or a similar field
