About the role

Position Summary: The Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation is responsible for the strategic leadership, clinical oversight, and daily management of the hospital's cardiac rehabilitation program. This role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and program growth. The Director will work closely with physicians, nursing staff, exercise physiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide evidence-based services that support cardiac recovery and long-term heart health.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Exercise Physiology, or related health field required.

  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • RN License or certification as an Exercise Physiologist (ACSM or equivalent), depending on background.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

  • Certification through AACVPR preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiac rehabilitation or cardiovascular care.

  • At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Familiarity with CMS guidelines, cardiac rehab billing, and patient monitoring systems.

Skills Requirements

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficient in data analysis, EMR systems, and patient outcome tracking.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Knowledge of clinical exercise testing and ECG interpretation.
