Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in your community? The Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer (FBCC) Prevention Program is seeking a passionate and dedicated OPS Senior Clerk to join our dynamic team!
As a vital member of our regional FBCC program, you will play a crucial role in ensuring clients can easily access essential health services. Your responsibilities will include performing clerical duties both in and out of the office, assisting clients in navigating the healthcare system, and providing vital support to Spanish-speaking clients as they apply for FBCC services.
Your Specific Responsibilities:
- Inputs new client referrals/applications and rescreens into the FBCCP database; provides vouchers for client services.
- Answers phone calls, check and respond to voicemail messages and returns calls to internal and external clients
- Admits clients into the program; obtains screening/diagnostic results from other agencies.
- Document services and upload files in the Health Management System (HMS), Florida Department of Health (FDOH) Volusia system and FBCCP drive.
- Scans all identified client records for the FBCCP according to established procedures, including appropriately identifying and electronically storing all documents.
- Open mail, sort bills, and other communication then organize all documents and process as appropriate.
- Assists with data entry, billing, and other tasks as directed by the Regional Coordinator
- Collaborates with professional and support staff regarding problem areas.
- Adheres to security and confidentiality of medical records as they relate to policies and procedures of the Sarasota County Health department.
- Records and certifies employee activity records weekly.
- Completes and submits accurate EARs daily, and timesheet biweekly at the end of the pay period.
- Provides customer service in a professional and courteous manner
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to operate a computer
- Ability to work and follow directions
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to keep well organized and accurate records
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to complete any training module and annual update
- Knowledge of community resources and skill in referring participants to appropriate resources
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
