Job Description
We are now looking for a Senior accountant within the CFO area reporting directly to Head of GBS Unit and Tax Reporting for Poland. Main responsibilities are to provide financial and accounting services to other key stakeholders and comply with the local requirements in Poland in terms of accounting and taxation.
Your role:
- Responsible for day-to-day accounting and tax transactions preparation (CIT, VAT returns) for Statkraft entities in Poland.
- Adherence to the month end close process to the group according to IFRS and ensuring deadlines are met in a timely manner.
- Ensure robust tax compliance and reporting to include, as appropriate, indirect taxes, withholding taxes, corporate taxes, and duties, required by regulatory bodies.
- Provide individual financial statement according to Polish GAAP as well as regulatory reports of those legal entities that are required.
- Oversee and coordinate on key compliance requirements in Poland.
- Support project development and local management teams with relevant information and reports.
- Assist with systems improvement/digitalization and develop the processes and internal reporting to improve management information.
- Work closely as a business partner with the business finance teams, preparing reports and analysis requested by them.
- Monitoring of project progress and performance in cooperation with business finance teams
- Actual vs target reporting monthly (P&L, BS and projects spend)
- Quarterly liquidity forecasting
- Advise on and maintain coding structures in SAP.
Qualifications
We are looking for an energetic person with strong communication skills and commercial mindset who is willing to take on a new challenge in the rapidly growing industry of renewable energy. We also want you to contribute to our continuous improvement ambitions with an attention to and drive for always making things better, safer, and more efficient.
If you can check of these boxes, you could be the person we are looking for:
- Strong experience min. 5 years in Accounting and Tax in Poland, background as an auditor is an asset.
- Experience in working with SAP preferred.
- Excellent Excel skills
- Graduation in Accounting. A Master degree within Finance and/or Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA).
- Speaks fluent Polish and English
