The Team:
Within the Tasmanian Department of Health, the Clinical Quality, Regulation and Accreditation (CQRA) group oversees and supports regulation and accreditation functions. The Clinical Governance and Regulation and Licencing branches provide support to quality and safety managers, clinicians and staff that focus on effective clinical governance, achieving excellence in care, ensuring services are improving continuously while safety and quality improvement outcomes are achieved. The Accreditation Preparation Team provides professional and authoritative advice and expertise in quality improvement and accreditation preparation to health services across the State.
The Role:
The Manager - Accreditation Preparation is responsible for ensuring that health services have necessary clinical system governance and quality improvement processes in place that maintain the accreditation status of health services. This includes establishing and maintaining an effective framework to analyse and record the state of preparation, gap, work in progress, desired outcomes and ensure remediation activities are occurring to address the identified issues.You will need:
- Extensive understanding of, and experience in, providing specialist advice on the Australian Health Service Safety and Quality Accreditation Scheme (AHSQA) and National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. With a proven understanding of contemporary program management, change management and business processes.
- Ability to provide a high standard of leadership in a complex, professional work environment, including demonstrated experience in leading and contributing to strategic direction and outcomes.
- High level of experience in, and proven ability to, manage human, financial, and physical resources, foster a productive and supportive team environment through the application of contemporary management practices.

Details of appointment:
Permanent Full Time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $139,470 to $148,863 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Eligibility:
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution in a relevant field such as a Diploma of Quality Auditing BSB50920, Lead Auditor ISO 19011:2018, or MBA.
- Expert-level understanding of the Australian Health Service Safety and Quality Accreditation Scheme (AHSQA) and National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.
