Madison College is hiring a full-time Administrative Coordinator. This position supports the efficient operation of the School of Human & Protective Services by handling a variety of administrative tasks, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment for faculty, staff, and students, and contributing to a positive campus culture. Key responsibilities include coordinating course schedules, supporting office operations and assisting students and community members. Additionally, this role involves working closely with community stakeholders such as police and fire departments, emergency medical services (EMS), the Department of Transportation (DOT), Department of Justice (DOJ), and other community agencies for program coordination.

Position Details: This is a full-time, hourly position with excellent benefits including health/vision/dental/life insurance options and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS).
General working hours are 8:00-4:30, M-F with some flexibility. While preference is for onsite work, some remote work could be considered.

In this role, you will interact with a diverse population of adult students who come to us with varying needs and emotions. Responsibilities:
- Course Coordination: Organize course schedules, room assignments, and class information in the student system, ensuring accuracy and alignment with program requirements. Manage faculty assignments, workload calculations, student enrollment trends, and program revisions. Address class cancellations or modifications as needed.
- Faculty & Student Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to HPS faculty, staff, and students. Guide students through the enrollment process and troubleshoot enrollment and program-related issues, assist students in navigating academic systems, and resolve concerns effectively.
- Office Operations: Handle general administrative tasks such as managing mail, answering phones, addressing inquiries, and providing office coverage. Offer exceptional support to students and community members, directing them to appropriate resources and escalating issues when necessary.
- Collaboration & Communication: Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the School's mission. Communicate with external organizations such as fire departments, EMS agencies, and government bodies to support program success and compliance.
