The Director, Government Pricing is responsible for the company’s compliance with both the Federal Agency’s reporting requirements as well as the management of the pricing policies, customer contracts, related financial processes that directly impact government pricing and compliance. The Director, GP is expected to be a subject matter expert on all price calculations and reporting. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Business Finance. This position will provide commercial support for all Teva based US Products.
Location: This is a hybrid role based in Parsippany, NJ (in office 3 days/week). This position has the potential to be remote for candidates not located in New Jersey. Travel into Parsippany twice a month would be required in this case.
How you’ll spend your day
- Responsible for ensuring contract compliance in accordance with laws and regulations, while representative as an expert in Government Programs (e.g., FSS, VA/DOD, 340B) and all statutory pricing, regulations, and policy. Oversee accurate calculations and Reporting of Average Manufacturer Price (AMP), Average Selling Price (ASP), Best Price (BP), and Non-Federal AMP (NFAMP) and 340B pricing to the appropriate regulatory entities for all Company and affiliate labeler codes.
- Responsible for the negotiations, execution, and oversight of the FSS contract to ensure compliance with contract terms, statutory regulations, VA guidance and Teva’s policies. This includes, but is not limited to, the registration & annual certification of the System for Award Management (SAM); managing the quarterly industrial funding fee (IFF) payments and sales reporting; price reduction/tracking customer monitoring; trade agreements act/country of origin reporting; CSP/MFC disclosures; request for modifications and small business plan reporting.
- Business Co-Lead on GP system upgrade to the Cloud, implementing new system in accordance with government regulations and internal policies. Will collaborate with current Director of GP on the upgrade.
- Business Lead on any GP impact analyses as needed, working closely with external auditors and internal/external counsel.
- Work with other business functions to provide insight on government programs and monetary impact analysis resulting from price changes, contracting strategies and other business decisions affecting GP calculations.
- Work with SOX team and internal/external auditors on review of quarterly GP SOX controls and GP audits as needed.
Your experience and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Policy, or related field OR equivalent experience and/or a combination of direct working experience in Pharmaceuticals. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical industry within government pricing and contracting preferred.
- Knowledge of U.S. Government pricing statutes and regulations including knowledge of OBRA 90, OBRA 93, Deficit Reduction Act, VA Healthcare Act, the Medicare Modernization Act, and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
- Strong analytical skills and experience with analytical tools and/or models
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills to deliver effective, confident, and purposeful communications and presentations.
- Ability to make decisions and collaborate across business units and functional areas.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
