Job Description

We are currently looking for a Corporate Security Investigator position to join our growing Administration Services team! You will be responsible for conducting investigations and performing security functions in support of the safe and cost-effective operation of Brightspeed work environments. You will report to the Senior Manager, Shared Services - Systems and Physical Security.

As a Corporate Security Investigator, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct workplace violence, off-duty misconduct, and theft and vandalism investigations as well as perform other security-related functions as needed
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance and Ethics, Human Resource, and other internal business partners, to ensure services are delivered in accordance with customer requirements
  • Liaison with local, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies in support of investigations and emergent critical events
  • Utilize various case management platforms, applications, and internal resources
  • Leverage facility access and video surveillance security controls and data in active and forensic investigations
  • Compile and present metrics, assessments, and reports to stakeholders and leadership
  • Facilitate and produce risk and threat assessments, and make recommendations
  • Develop and maintain workplace safety and incident prevention programs
  • Stay current with industry-standard investigative best practices and technology
  • Support Security Systems upgrades, changes and projects, while remotely accessing internal systems as needed to ensure operational reliability
  • 24/7 availability in support of the Security operations team
  • Ensure standard process and procedures are aligned with corporate standards
  • Validate information, manage third-party vendor performance and draft/file reports as needed
  • Manage internal and/or outsourced staff as they carry out assigned duties
  • Commissioning activities as requred
  • May update and administer Safety, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery plans
  • End-to-end management of work order workflow

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence, Security Management, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 5+ years of prior law enforcement or investigative experience
  • Formal interview and investigative training, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of the deployment, use, and management of access control and video surveillance systems
  • Familiarity with telecommunications facility and network environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership
  • Intermediate to expert Microsoft Office skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-tempo corporate environment
  • Ability to work effectively with other disciplines within the Shared Service organization as well as other business units within the corporation
