The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) is a progressive business regulatory state agency dedicated to the mission of protecting and serving Oregon's consumers and workers while supporting a positive business climate. The department administers state laws and rules governing workers' compensation, occupational safety and health, financial institutions, insurance companies and building codes. The department has consumer protection and education programs, offices, and ombuds to help consumers, injured workers, and businesses.
This position is with the Workers' Compensation Division (WCD). WCD administers, regulates, and enforces the laws and administrative rules governing the Oregon workers' compensation system.
This position is represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

This position is eligible to telework on a part-time basis once the incumbent has gained the proficiency to perform work independently. However, regular scheduled office hours are also required, as the incumbent will be required to be in office to support in-person training needs, training materials, and delivery of training and other activities associated with active training activities and execution.
Here’s what you will do:
As a System and Software Trainer, you will serve as a dedicated system trainer to support a major IT system replacement project as well as training/support on the new technology solution for both new employees and also for support and retraining of current employees. Duties include:
Developing the training plan and training strategy
Conducting assessments
Developing training materials and guides
Adapting instructional content and delivery methods for various levels of knowledge and learning styles
Developing metrics to assess needs and effectiveness, plan execution, and evaluation
