We are seeking a high performing finance leader to help us continue to drive improvement and excellence in support of our Pharmaceutical, Health & Protection, & Durables (PHD) business. The Director of Finance Operations reports to the VP of Finance, PHD and is the business partner to the VP Operations, PHD. The role manages a global team of site financial controllers, with the objective to lead and mentor the team and the overall organization in the design and execution of our operational and financial objectives at our sites.
Specifically:
- Partner with operations and site controllers to understand & drive opportunities for growth and cost management
- Lead the financial reporting and analysis for our 10 global sites, for both actuals and planning; ensure effective monthly closing and improved accuracy of our forecasting/planning at our sites
- Grow and enhance the skills and capabilities of the operations finance team, driving accountability and leading team in providing robust operational insights
- Own the tracking, forecasting, and reporting of the consolidated financial metrics
- Understand, communicate and explain variance drivers within the division, segmenting them into operating drivers, unusuals, controllables, and identify root cause and action owners for each
- Compile, analyze, and present cost information to be used in operating budget and forecasting preparation. Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs and make estimates of new and proposed product or service costs
- Partner with operations on evaluation of CAPEX investments, including development of business cases, tracking execution of approved investments, and analyzing actuals versus planned results
- Harmonize and improve reporting across sites by driving more reliable, consistent, and accurate data; delivering more insightful analysis and reporting and implementing best practices
- Engage in the S&OP process to ensure proper capacity planning
- Ensure proper controls exist and process are followed consistently across our sites, including physical inventory counts, fixed asset inventory counts, inventory accounting, reserve policies
- Collaborate with kp Business Services organization (shared services) in ensuring accurate financial statements and reporting at our sites

Required
- Extensive and proven progressive operational finance leadership in global manufacturing; cost accounting experience is required.
- A forward-thinking and creative individual with the ability to lead, inspire and improve the capabilities of the team
- Continuous Improvement Champion!
- Business Partnering mindset with proactive approach and exhibiting high levels of accountability
- A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability and strong hands on and strategic ability
- Fluency in English
- Strong experience optimizing and improving the use of an ERP tool, SAP preferred
