Job Description

Exciting opportunity to work within the Entertainment group of TV & Streaming! The Senior Director, Programming Finance will have purview across all Cable platforms, including USA, Bravo, Syfy, Oxygen, E!, & Universal Kids. The Senior Director will work cross-functionally between Scheduling, Production Operations, Controllership, Business Affairs, Creative & Finance Senior Management to provide traditional operational and finance support related to, but not limited to current programming and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and mentor a team comprised of managers and analysts in the day- to-day financial management of the Cable portfolio programming.
  • Own the consolidation and presentation of Cable programming portfolio OCF & FCF roll up and related variance analysis for all financial cycles (Pacings, Upfront, Estimates & Budget).
  • Manage, identify & highlight business risks and opportunities throughout the quarter for Cable Portfolio.
  • Provide periodic reporting and presentations to Creative and Finance senior leadership to inform decision making.    
  • Drive automation, simplification and enhancement of existing operational processes and reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses that provide insight into programming financials and support strategic decision making.  
  • Play a key role in supporting the ongoing process and system improvement and testing of programming content tracking and reporting system (COMPASS).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in financial, accounting, or similar roles
  • Advanced user of excel with track record of complex model building (pivot tables, V look-ups, automation of link updates, etc)
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills
  • SAP General Ledger knowledge a plus.
  • Media experience preferred

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $150,000 - $185,000
