Manager, Inside Sales

The Manager, Inside Sales is responsible for coordinating and supervising a team of inside sales professionals to achieve revenue goals and deliver excellent customer experiences. This role focuses on team leadership, operational execution, and short-term business impact within the department. The ideal candidate has experience managing sales teams, driving performance, and collaborating across functions.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and oversee daily activities of Inside Sales Consultants to meet team and individual sales targets.
  • Set priorities and allocate resources to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Recruit, onboard, and coach team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Monitor pipeline development and opportunity management to maintain consistent revenue flow.
  • Ensure CRM data accuracy and assist with forecasting and performance reporting.
  • Act as an advisor to team members to resolve issues and meet schedules.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to execute campaigns and deliver customer solutions.
  • Support initiatives to improve team engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Encourage adoption of digital tools and virtual engagement strategies.
     

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Proven ability to manage teams and achieve sales goals.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and sales reporting.
  • Strong communication and coaching skills.
  • Ability to adapt plans and priorities to address operational challenges.
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in B2B or institutional sales, ideally in education, technology, or publishing.
  • Knowledge of digital learning solutions or SaaS models.
  • Exposure to virtual selling tools and digital enablement platforms.
