Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineering & Programme Manager to support the E7 Quality Management team in Birmingham, UK!

This is a Long-Term Assignment to Birmingham, UK for up to 18 months. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided.

This Quality Management position is a key member of the leadership team, and we are seeking a detail oriented, highly organized change agent to lead a team in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of technical strategies to bolster compliance, repeatability, and sustainability within the Quality Organization. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:  

  • Manages employees at a Part-145 repair station performing modification to military commercial derivative aircraft

  • Develops quality strategies and plans in support of aircraft modification

  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System and part-145

  • Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports

  • Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility. Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience working in an aircraft maintenance or part-145 environment

  • 3+ years of experience with Quality and/or Manufacturing processes and organizations

  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. Customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners)

  • 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)

  • 1+ year of Leadership experience with technical employees

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience using schematics, blueprints, sketches, manuals, technical documents, written information, verbal information, applicable procedures, codes and ordinances

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • Demonstrated experience in quality leadership

  • Experience in a developmental program

  • Experience on a production program

Long-term Assignment details

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country.

  • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable.

  • Employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country.

Summary pay range

Oklahoma City: USD 100,300 -135,700

Tukwila: USD 115,600 – 156,400
