Business Development/ Sales Ops Intern (FONA)

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time Sales Intern at FONA located at 1900 Averill Rd, Geneva, IL.  This is a 10-week internship (June 2024 - August 2024) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Position Summary

This Business Development/ Sales Ops Intern position reports to the Director Commercialization and Sales Operations NA Flavor.

 

Responsibilities

• Assist with prioritizing, growing, and forecasting opportunities within an innovation funnel in conjunction with internal Sales Operations and Business Unit functions to attain profitable sales growth
• Support increased mid-level account service satisfaction by leveraging Marketing and BU tools and acting as the internal ambassador for small to mid-level accounts
• Support increased territory margins through improved pricing practices, forecasting, and customer education and internal support teams.
• Assist with effectively utilizing Business Unit resources, Corporate Marketing and Technology and Innovation to help support customer’s development of new products and concepts.
• Support effective and efficient use of salesforce.com across the North American Flavor Group including training, data accuracy & analytics for reporting and dashboarding
• Assist with implementing and optimizing processes which increase customer face time for the sales team across McCormick’s North American Flavor Group

 

 

Qualifications

• Current enrollment as an undergraduate college Junior or Senior, or a graduate student in a relevant academic program
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate complex issues and conduct root cause analysis to resolve problems
• Must be able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated, self-starter who is a forward-thinking problem solver with a strong work ethic
• Effective written and verbal communications skills that are clear and concise
