Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Microsoft 365 Engineer to join our IT Operations team. This individual will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and Microsoft 365 services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure and M365 environments, a passion for automation, and a strong focus on security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Azure Cloud Management:

  • Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, virtual machines, storage, and identity services.

  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud resources.

• Microsoft 365 Administration:

  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune.

  • Manage user accounts, licenses, and security settings across the M365 suite.

• Automation & Scripting:

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and other scripting languages to streamline administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Bicep.

• Security & Compliance:

  • Implement and manage security controls, such as Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Azure Security Center, to protect cloud and M365 environments.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, conducting regular audits and assessments.

• Monitoring & Performance Optimization:

  • Set up and manage monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to track performance, availability, and security of cloud resources.

  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and performance, recommending and implementing cost-saving measures.

• Incident Response & Troubleshooting:

  • Lead incident response efforts for any Azure or M365-related issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

• Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Collaborate with other IT teams, such as network engineers, security teams, and application developers, to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud and M365 services.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of experience in Azure cloud and Microsoft 365 administration.

• Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and other scripting languages.
