Our ideal candidate will possess a strong talent for portfolio management and effective communication with various stakeholders, ensuring a cohesive approach to achieving organizational goals.</p><p></p><p><b>Objectives of this Role:</b></p><ul><li>Develop, implement, and maintain a portfolio of initiatives that align with our organizational objectives and strategic vision.</li><li>Assume complete ownership of the assigned portfolio, with a comprehensive understanding of its components, objectives, timelines, and stakeholder requirements.</li><li>Organize and maintain consistent governance across all identified stakeholder groups to ensure effective oversight of portfolio activities.</li><li>Ensure portfolio goals are met in alignment with the priorities and methodologies established for our team.</li><li>Support our internal PM organization and collaborate with other team members to enhance portfolio performance.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Scope of Work Includes, but is Not Limited to:</b></p><ul><li>Daily contact with key individuals to ensure consistent alignment and delivery of portfolio initiatives.</li><li>A proactive and reactive approach to problem solving within the portfolio context.</li><li>Organizing and leading recurrent meetings (weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.) to review portfolio performance, as well as ad hoc discussions as needed.</li><li>Leading steering committee meetings to drive portfolio direction, provide updates, and address any issues or concerns.</li><li>Establishing portfolio tollgates and timelines to track progress effectively.</li><li>Developing and maintaining portfolio documentation, including overviews, communication plans, and performance metrics.</li><li>Proactively monitoring and tracking the portfolio's progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and resource allocations.</li><li>Facilitating effective communication and ensuring collaboration across teams and stakeholders to optimize portfolio outcomes.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>2+ years of Portfolio Management experience or relevant experience in managing a suite of projects or programs.</li><li>Technical knowledge and proficiency in portfolio management methodologies.</li><li>Technical knowledge and proficiency in project management methodologies is a plus</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholder groups.</li><li>Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities within a portfolio context.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.</li><li>Proficiency in project management tools, such as Jira, Confluence, or MS Project.</li></ul><p></p><p>Current Employees apply <a href="https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$6687.htmld" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">HERE</a></p><p></p><p>Current Contingent Workers apply <a href="https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$4020.htmld" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">HERE</a></p><p></p><p><b>Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully </b><br/>Merck &amp; Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp &amp; Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
