Requisition Summary
PACCAR’s Zero Emissions department is focused on new technologies such as battery electric, hydrogen fuel cell electric, and advanced vehicle concepts in the heavy and medium-duty transportation industries. The PACCAR Zero Emissions Powertrain department is looking for a motivated and talented Administrative Assistant to join and support our Global Engineering teams in our drive to develop world-class electric powertrains.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Supports the operational activity of the Engineering department and staff at all global locations.
- Provides administrative and clerical support to relieve department managers or staff of administrative details.
- Coordinates travel, meetings, calendar administration, and events for department executives.
- Answers phone calls, coordinates messages and appointments, maintains files, and handles department office supplies, mail, and other deliveries.
- Manages office supplies and creates and tracks P.O.’s for new supplies as needed.
- Helps plan, coordinate, and support department events including conventions, customer tours, and department service awards.
- Assist and support other duties as assigned.
Skills / Competencies
- High School diploma/GED equivalent required
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to regularly multi-task and prioritize, working with minimum supervision.
- Ability to maintain composure and provide quality products under pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to compile large amounts of data received from multiple sources into concise, accurate reports utilizing technical skills (pivot tables, queries, downloads, etc.).
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
