What you will do:
This is a highly responsible position tasked with supporting statewide ongoing service operations at the CBC and sub-contractor level. This position is tasked with assisting with special projects, implementation activities, and special case or service provision reviews as assigned. The incumbent for this position will have extensive child welfare knowledge, specifically within the spectrum of ongoing service provision. This position will serve at the direction of the Director of Partnerships and Prevention.
How you will make an impact:

Lead, plan, design, and monitor effective implementation strategies for child welfare projects and special initiatives. Develop change management activities designed to build a culture of performance and innovation. Work with regional teams, policy team, training team, Office of Quality and Innovation, HR, and IT in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support project implementation.

Assists in the analytical review of data and reports at the statewide, regional and circuit level on trends to assist in the development and implementation of solutions to strengthen performance.

Prepares, analyzes and reports on issues and/or trends confronting ongoing service provision and works in tandem with policy staff to recommend alternative policies, strategies and/or programs aimed at addressing these areas.

Assists in development and implementation of statewide operational plans, to include performance indicators and outcome measures that addresses federal and state legislation and best practice standards.

Assists in the development of reports, briefing sessions, seminars and other media for communicating to the Assistant Secretary for Child and Family Well-Being, legislature and general public concerning ongoing services strengths and needs

Works with other Department programs to integrate the services of Office of Child and Family Well-Being with other internal OCFW programs as well as other departmental programs, such as the Office of Quality and Innovation, Substance Abuse and Mental Health, and Economic Self-Sufficiency.

Completes specialized case reviews on high profile cases, identifying case specific, service specific as well as systemic challenges needing to be addressed to effectuate change

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field from an accredited institution.

Active Child Welfare Certification through the Florida Certification Board; Case Management certification (CWCM) preferred.

5 Years of Experience in Child Welfare; Florida Child Welfare experience preferred.

Valid Driver License
Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree in social work or related field from an accredited institution.

Experience in the principals and strategies of Prevention Services in the Child Welfare System

5 Years of Experience providing or implementing prevention services in the child welfare system
