As we grow, we’re looking for a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to bring financial vision, operational leadership, and a passion for excellence to the executive team.The Role:As CFO, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for guiding the company’s financial strategy, performance, and infrastructure. In addition to overseeing all finance and accounting functions, you’ll also lead our Human Resources and Information Technology departments—making this a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Financial Leadership
- Lead all financial functions including forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and long-term planning.
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to align financial strategy with business objectives.
- Analyze and advise on financial trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Oversee corporate insurance and claims management, including liability, workers’ comp, and more.
- Provide strategic direction for Accounting, HR, and IT operations.
- Develop and implement scalable policies, systems, and controls across departments.
- Drive continuous improvement in budgeting, reporting, and compliance practices.
- Optimize banking relationships and investment strategies to ensure liquidity and growth.
- Lead cash flow forecasting and ensure capital adequacy for operational needs.
- Offer financial insight on contracts, acquisitions, and mergers.
- Lead and coach a high-performing financial and operational leadership team.
- Promote a culture of accountability, development, and strategic thinking.
- Foster adherence to Hackbarth's core values across departments.
- A strategic, big-picture thinker with a strong grasp of financial and operational leadership.
- A collaborative executive who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- A hands-on leader who can develop systems, manage complexity, and scale impact.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- CPA preferred.
- 8–10+ years in senior financial leadership roles, ideally in logistics, transportation, or tech-driven operations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with Netsuite Accounting Software is highly preferred.
- Experience with Transportation Software is a plus.
