About the role

Position: Team Lead – Registration Specialist (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. No weekends or holidays.
Location: Neuroscience Center

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Perform registration duties: check-in/out, patient registration, demographics, insurance verification.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate with RCS and Radiology daily.
  • Resolve patient concerns and ensure a positive experience.
  • Provide functional guidance to support staff; coach, mentor, and develop the Registration team.
  • Conduct monthly rounding and precept team members as requested by leadership.
  • Perform higher-level functions as defined by clinic management.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of healthcare registration experience.
  • Requires CMAA certification. *Those in the Team Lead - Registration Specialist role at time of transition will be given priority to the certification Exam cohorts.  They must successfully complete the certification exam (achieve certification) within one year of the on-set of career ladder implementation.  Failure to achieve certification may result in a move to the appropriate Registration Specialist role with the potential of a pay decrease. 
  • Successful completion of Foundation of Leadership within 6 months or Emerging Leaders Program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coding experience (ICD-10, CPT).
  • Strong knowledge of registration processes and insurance interpretation.
