Reporting to the Certification Manager, the Structural Certification Engineering Intern will support the team responsible for the research, planning, and execution of the FAA certification process for commercial aircraft seats and seating components.
Summer Project: As part of your internship experience, you will lead a summer project focused on the continuous improvement within the certification team. As the project leader, you will be responsible for identifying key issues, formulating solutions, and implementing recommendations. This project will provide you with a hands-on opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge and contribute directly to our certification efforts. You will work closely with experienced engineers and gain valuable insights into the aerospace industry's regulatory landscape.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Qualifications We Prefer:
- Relevant coursework or projects related to structural engineering.
- Strong academic performance and eagerness to learn in a professional setting.
- Familiarity with classical stress analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of strengths of standard aviation materials.
- Prior internship or coursework in aerospace industry, particularly with aircraft interiors.
- Experience or coursework in reviewing and approving technical drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare presentations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in team environments and across functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software applications.
