About the role

Overview

In this technical role, you will lead the acquisition, transformation, and disposition of enterprise data. It focuses on ETL/ELT and messaging processes between business systems and enterprise repositories. You will drive policies and standards for development, documentation, compliance, and support. The role will give you the opportunity to work closely with and mentor other enterprise teams to enhance shared standards and practices, leverage common infrastructure, and support compliance. You will also be responsible for monitoring the environment, maintaining system health, and securing the content. This role will interact with both technical partners (Developers, Stewards, DBAs, Architects) and business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively to lead implementation of new data pipelines
  • Support and execute enterprise Data Management, Master Data, Data Governance, Business Intelligence, decision support, and analytics goals, policies, and education
  • Support enterprise privacy and compliance needs, secure the disposition of sensitive information
  • Partner with internal teams to develop and support effective enterprise data solutions
  • Work extensively with data analysts/architects to understand enterprise processes and models
  • Deliver high quality and highly efficient ETL, orchestrations, and messaging solutions
  • Design and implement secure credential management options and proper encryption practices
  • Create, maintain and publish data dictionaries, technical documentation, runbooks and standards
  • Support advanced models for analytics including AI/ML/LLM, predictive and prescriptive analytics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or related field and 8+ years of experience, or Master’s and 6+ years experience designing and implementing enterprise integration and/or ETL solutions including hands-on experience using Microsoft SQL Server and its BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI) or cloud equivalent
  • 7-10 years of experience with commercial solutions used for messaging and microservices including API management with SOA, queue management, and an enterprise service bus
  • 3+ years of experience in a lake house, big data, or cloud data landscape
  • 5 years of experience with commercial solutions used for messaging and microservices including API management with SOA, queue management, and an enterprise service bus
  • Extensive knowledge of data structures, data warehousing, data visualization, statistics, and analytic models
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including documentation standards and peer reviews
  • Ability to set individual/project/team priorities and plan to complete tasks and organizational objectives
  • Ability to work both independently and lead a workstream
  • Knowledge of data management best practices, processes, tools, standards, and methodologies
  • Knowledge of the development of ETL/ELT, REST, ODATA, and SOAP implementations
  • Experience in SQL, Python and at least 2 other language such as Scala, R, MDX, C#, Java, or JavaScript
  • Development experience with on-premises and cloud implementations of RDBMS (Microsoft SQL Server) in both transactional and analytic/EDW models, experience with NoSQL databases, and serverless architectures

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience working in agile environments and practicing SAFe/scrum/DevOps
  • Experience with AI development including prompt engineering, machine learning models, and libraries (pandas, numpy, tensorflow, etc.)
  • Experience/Exposure to cloud data tools (DocumentDB, Data Lake, Synapse, NoSQL, Hadoop/Spark, Data Bricks, Glue, Data Factory
  • Working knowledge of core business platforms (SAP, Salesforce, Adobe, ServiceNow, Microsoft)
  • Experience with Governance and Master Data disciplines
  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes and project details
  • Development experience in the cloud (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with MuleSoft, LogicApps, and SSIS
