JOB SUMMARY
The Development Planner is responsible for coordinating launch program requirements through certification and first 2-3 shipset deliveries, before handing off to Production Planner(s). They manage the Syspro item master and BOM entry, part ordering, part follow-up, and supplier development tracking during this launch program period. The Development Planner is also responsible for coordination of all material planning efforts between departments.

- Manage Item Master and BOM Entry and/or manages entries through launch program phase
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers to develop work order instruction creation and/or management of creation
- Ensure MRP system is 100% accurate throughout eBOM creation. Manages eBOM-to-mBOM conversion(s) during the launch program phase.
- Work with PLM system to maximize functionality
- Work with Purchasing Agents to place and manage development, certification, and initial shipsets part purchase orders
- Detail status on any items affecting the production line
- Ensure 100% material availability, placing long-lead material items on order ahead of full drawing and eBOM release
- Work with Supply Chain to ensure 100% OTD from supply base
- Demonstrate teamwork, ownership, and leadership
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Associates Degree preferred
Experience:
- 5+ years of previous experience in Materials Planning role
