Temporary Assignment – Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to fulfill a temporary need within our System Design team. This role is intended to provide additional support for a terrestrial microreactor program for up to a 6-month timeframe.

This temporary role offers flexibility and can be performed onsite at our Advanced Technologies office in Lynchburg, VA, remotely, or as a hybrid position.

 

Temporary Assignment - Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development of the cable schedule and documentation to support site power distribution.
• Utilize relevant system requirements and interface requirements to prepare appropriate engineering documentation, drawings, analyses, reports, etc.
• Collaborate with design teams to verify power distribution requirements and ensure proper cable routing and interfaces.
• Support procurement activities of vendors implementing components and systems to BWXT specifications.
• Lead the creation of appropriate output documentation such as electrical schematics.
• Coordinate with other interfacing disciplines such as mechanical engineers, system engineers, nuclear engineers, and system design engineers.
