Description

You will lead a team that uses ML to push the boundaries of RecSys and personalization in Apple’s products so that they feel like they know you and what you’re trying to accomplish, all without compromising on the promise of protecting user privacy. You will work with cross-functional partners to find new recommendations use cases and to evolve existing systems to support emerging capabilities in new products. You will lead the way in developing and applying automated processes for validation and monitoring; and develop innovative tools and metrics that change the way we look at problems! Minimum Qualifications

MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Machine Learning; or 7 years practical experience in software engineering
At least three years experience with software engineering in production systems (working with Python or R; and/or C/Objective-C/C++, Swift, or Rust)
At least two years of experience as a tech lead for software features shipped in production, with a machine learning component in at least one of those features

Preferred Qualifications

You are committed to helping others grow in their careers at Apple
Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with machine-learning concepts in production systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for project planning and in cross-functional collaboration
Experience with implementing recommendation and related machine-learning systems in production
Experience developing software for resource constrained platforms, especially mobile devices

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
