We are looking for a Human Resource Director with experience leading strategic and operational human resource activities. The chosen candidate will lead and manage a team of HR professionals to deliver a broad range of HR initiatives and programs across our manufacturing, technological, and commercial footprint in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.
The successful candidate will have experience across a broad spectrum of HR disciplines and will have responsibility to improve organizational capability, drive culture change, define organizational needs, determine development needs and strategy, assess hiring needs, resolve employee issues, and contribute to the achievement of the strategic and operating plan objectives.
Based ideally in Atlanta, GA and reporting to the VP Human Resources, this role has frequent interactions with senior leadership within Markem-Imaje and Dover Corporation, our parent company.
What you will do:
As a member of the Markem-Imaje Global HR leadership team, you will provide comprehensive HR support for our employees across the region, including execution of core processes, employee relations, and day-to-day HR activities including:
• Strategic business partner and trusted advisor to senior leadership focused on a broad-based and transformational talent agenda designed to attract, develop, and retain top talent which will enable the business to achieve growth plans and business objectives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the Americas Human Resources team.
• Build trust and effective partnerships with business leaders, global HR function and Dover HR COE teams, understanding business needs and issues involving people and process; actively consulting and providing solutions based on understanding of relevant business needs.
• Constantly measure effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs to ensure they are delivering desired outcomes. Utilize data-driven insights to support decision making process.
• Lead, plan and execute key initiatives and provide solutions for employee relations, organization design, performance management, workforce planning, talent acquisition, leadership and employee coaching, succession planning, career development and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Lead and execute change initiatives across the businesses related to talent and HR strategy.
• Contribute actively to the development and implementation of overall Markem-Imaje and Dover HR strategy. Act as change agent in identifying opportunities to improve workforce and HR process effectiveness to enable business strategy and results.
This role does require to work both on operational topic as well as strategic initiatives.
What you need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources; an advanced degree or Human Resources certification preferred
• 10+ years of HR Business Partner experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and in matrixed, fast-paced, global organizations; preferably experience with multi-site/manufacturing environments
• Experience leading and developing HR teams
• Comprehensive HR experience, including a complete understanding of and hands-on exposure to the full mix of HR disciplines in a global environment
• Demonstrated success translating business strategies into organizational and HR strategies & actions
• Ability to work across all levels within the organization; strong interpersonal and influencing skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated change management and project management experience
