Your Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Team Leader for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will….
- Provide engineering analysis, technical expertise, project management/coordination, and advanced troubleshooting support of the factory's machinery and infrastructure
- Assign and monitor the work of skilled-trades personnel to accomplish customer requests, preventative maintenance, and project work
- Plan for maintenance of equipment that improves reliability, efficiency, quality and safety
- Diagnose machine malfunctions to root cause, recommend solutions, and support the execution of the repair/improvement plan
- Provide expert review and analysis of equipment spare parts lists, preventive maintenance plans, and documentation

What Skills You Need
- 3 or more years of general maintenance, mechanical engineering, or factory automation experience
- 2 or more years of equipment troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading a team
- Ability and willingness to support a multi-shift or extended-shift operation
- Ability and willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends
- Effective communication, both verbal and written
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience in a maintenance leadership role in a union environment
- Technical experience with design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems
- Experience working within SAP PM module
- Experience with machinery and equipment safety standards (e.g. OSHA 29 CFR 1910, NFPA 79, NFPA 70E, etc.)
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably mechanical, or electrical, or equivalent related work experience
