About the role
The Director of Accounts Payable will lead Reworld’s enterprise-wide Accounts Payable operations within a dynamic, acquisitive environment. This role oversees a centralized, shared services function spanning multiple ERPs and payment platforms, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and strategic alignment with corporate objectives. The Director will drive transformation through automation, process standardization, and continuous improvement, while managing billions in annual cash outflows with precision and foresight.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $150,000-$175,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Transformation
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Accounts Payable, aligning with enterprise goals and finance transformation initiatives.
- Lead the evolution of AP operations through automation, system enhancements, and process reengineering.
- Serve as a key stakeholder in M&A integration efforts, ensuring seamless onboarding of acquired entities into AP systems and processes.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee hybrid onshore/offshore AP operations, including third-party providers (e.g., Jaggaer), ensuring service level agreements and performance metrics are met.
- Drive operational efficiency through benchmarking, root cause analysis, and implementation of best-in-class practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports in compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Stewardship
- Manage multi-billion-dollar cash disbursements with a focus on optimizing working capital and vendor terms.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including AP reconciliations, 1099 reporting, and audit support.
- Partner with Treasury and FP&A to align payment strategies with broader cash management goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a strategic partner to Procurement, Operations, and IT to enhance the Procure-to-Pay lifecycle.
- Identify training needs and support change management initiatives to ensure compliance and user adoption of AP policies and tools.
- People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of AP professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Oversee talent management activities including recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in finance or related field preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
