Maintenance Mechanic - Full Time

JOB SUMMARY 

Conducts all aspects of the maintenance program, including boiler, electric plant, HVAC systems.

 SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

• Completes minor repairs as requested by various departments on Work Orders
• Participate in nightly and weekend call program for 24 hour coverage in the department, as needed.
• Routinely inspects equipment and physical plant to uncover any repair or maintenance needs, and reports to supervisor
• Maintains HVAC system
• Performs preventative maintenance and grounds maintenance, as needed
• Maintains the boiler and electric plant
• Performs minor carpentry and assembly work
• Installs capital equipment, both medical and non-medical on an as-needed basis
• Perform other duties, as requested, to ensure overall operational success

Hours:   Full Time, Day Shift with On-Call requirements. Must be able to respond to calls within 30 minutes. 

Salary:   $18.00 to $29.00 per hour based on experience.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE

• Required: Minimum 5 years general maintenance mechanic/service technician experience or work experience in related fields or graduation from a technical school
• Preferred: Minimum 5 years general maintenance experience or work experience in related fields in a healthcare setting

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent

CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• A valid driver’s license is required
