Physical Therapist (PRN)

Overview

We are seeking a Physical Therapist, internally referred to as our Inpatient Physical Therapist or our Acute Care Physical Therapist. As a Physical Therapist for St. Joseph Medical Center Therapy Department, provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services, within scope of practice.  We have a collaborative culture focused on positive outcomes, opportunities for professional growth and so much more.    

 

Shift’s Available:  Days

Employment Type: Per Diem (PRN)

Hours: 8-hour shift: 8:00a – 4:30p with Saturday and Holiday rotation

Location: St. Joseph Medical Center (SJMC), Kansas City, MO

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): 

• provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services, within scope of practice, in order to restore function and prevent disability in patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary and/or integumentary disorders
• perform responsibilities in accordance with department and hospital policies, state, federal and regulatory licensing and accrediting requirements
• function according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team
• mostly inpatient, some outpatient therapies
• awesome team atmosphere, partners with the nursing team with regards to patient care

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

 

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  

• Bachelor/Masters/Doctorate/Certificate Degree in Physical Therapy
• current state Physical Therapy license, or application to MO licensure in progress
• current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

 

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: 

• one year of experience
