The Need  

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking an experienced Event Producer, to support our signature events. 

 

This role is responsible for the planning production and execution of high-impact donor events and other key gatherings that engage stakeholders, inspire action, and enhance IJM’s mission. Working closely with internal teams and external vendors, the Event Producer will ensure seamless event execution that meets IJM’s organizational goals. 

This position requires a detail oriented and adaptable demeanor, with the confidence to lead teams both internal and external and work collaboratively across departments to deliver excellence. 

 

This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Director, Signature Events, North America and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.   

 

Responsibilities 

Communication: 

1. Facilitate event team meetings, including communications of decisions, action items, and ensuring follow-up. 

2. Manage internal communications to appropriate audiences and stakeholders. 

3. Prepare and help facilitate stakeholder briefings, including speaker/field briefings and leadership briefings as needed. 

4. Communicate professionally with all event stakeholders including internal, external and event audiences. 

5. Lead cross departmental communication to ensure proper alignment across teams. 

Documentation, Reporting & Data Management: 

1. Develop and utilize project planning materials including budgets, timelines, trackers and production decks. 

2. Direct the development of registration pages or webforms to capture donor event data effectively & efficiently. 

3. Manage event(s) in Teamwork (project planning software) from end to end (i.e., project build out to ongoing task management through project close out.) 

4. Manage event reporting to show progress v. goals and budget v. actuals and any post-event KPIs. 

Events and Logistics: 

1. Ensure identification of stakeholders' requirements and expectations for each event across departments. 

2. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders3. 

3. Support in the brainstorm and implementation of event concepts and themes 

4. Prepare event budgets and process invoices
