This is an administrative hourly position.
Starting pay range: $20.29 - $23.75
The Administrative Assistant is an individual contributor responsible for performing a variety of clerical/administrative duties in support of the Quality department and other office staff.
Essential Functions:
- Perform general administrative duties such as copying, scanning, faxing, mailing, filing, emailing, and responding to and delivering communications
- Review, compare, analyze, and approve data against specifications
- Maintain accurate records for inspection records, scrap, rework, and field claims
- Identify trends and escapes from Fitters, Welders, Inspectors and defect types
- Create pareto charts and understanding root cause analysis by tracking data
- Other duties as assigned or needed
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- One (1) year of strong clerical experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrates credibility and integrity, sound judgment and the ability to keep confidential information
- Ability to pay attention to detail and follow instructions
- Ability to effectively analyze data
- Ability to be exposed to outdoors elements for short durations of time
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
- 3 years' office administration experience
- Experience within a manufacturing company, division or corporate office setting
- The ability to interpret quality specifications and blueprints
Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Work is typically performed in an office setting; however, incumbent may be required to go into the production or shipping/receiving areas. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. This position will be exposed to all hazards located at manufacturing sites including noise, fumes, excessive heat/cold, dust, welding arc, all chemicals associated with the manufacturing areas, smoke and confined spaces.
The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds in working with large files, binders, and boxes of paper. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
