Position Summary:
The Director of Special Projects will report directly to the President, Diabetes. This role will support development of the business strategy, aggregating and synthesizing analysis, partnering with various functions across the enterprise and external partners to drive strategic planning, organizing management processes, business communications internally and externally, and supporting employee engagement. This role will operate on a national level, working with central business functions and operating teams across the country. This individual must demonstrate extremely high business acumen and will serve as a coach and advisor to others involved in related activities.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
- Support the President, Diabetes Division in crafting and executing on strategic imperatives
- Organize division efforts and drive collaboration across lanes
- Support internal/external communication by helping to craft and deliver key messages
- Highlight management process gaps or improvement opportunities, then implement solutions
- Lead critical projects working across multiple service lanes; monitor metrics, track progress of initiatives, and prepare presentations for senior leadership
- Collaborate across teams to perform analyses and synthesize results
- Lead the development and improvement of a top performing team
- Work across operational and innovation teams to advance best-in-class capabilities in the market
Strategy & Project Execution:
- Manages and drives strategic and operational initiatives in collaboration with other teams
- Able to structure ambiguous problems into clear workstreams and drive execution
- Develops and communicates project scope, timeline, plan, resource requirements, and assumptions
- Creates, implements, and drives adoption of processes and solutions to further clinical and business outcomes
- Communicates project status updates and needs to senior leadership; prepares, reports, and manages to targets/goals including scope, schedule, metrics, and revenue
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively lead and influence others, with or without direct authority, and unites groups with diverse perspectives to bring teams to consensus/alignment.
- Acquires and maintains knowledge of current products and services, industry challenges, revenue drivers, customer demographics and centralized functions and processes
- Builds trust through direct, timely communication and delivering on goals and expectations
- Promptly identifies issues and makes quality decisions; resolves problems quickly
- Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization; teaches and presents complex and/or new ideas with clarity and simplicity
- Utilizes project planning tools to organize and manage tasks, delegate responsibilities, and establish deadlines
- Maintains Business Confidentiality and shares information only with a “need to Know” audience
- Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA
- Maintain compliance with AdaptHealth’s Compliance Program, including required training and standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Travel required up to 25%

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business related field is required.
- Five (5) years of experience managing projects across a broad range of business units, healthcare experience preferred.
- Project Manager (PMP) certification preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands and/or fingers due to extensive computer use.
- Work environment may be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate.
- Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen.
- Must be able to lift 5 to 10 pounds periodically as needed.
