- Soin Medical Center has been serving residents of Greene, Western Clark, Eastern Montgomery, and Miami counties since 2012.
- Conveniently located off I-675 in Beavercreek.

Responsibilities & Requirements
The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other health care providers. The RN is accountable for his/her own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law. Utilizing organizational resources, the RN acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities. The delivery of nursing care within Kettering Health reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies of the organization and nursing departments.The Registered Nurse reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager or through the Clinical Director through the Manager.
The Oncology Clinical Coordinator provides quality nursing care to patients experiencing hematological/oncological treatments and disease management including knowledge and skills to provide cancer care treatments safely and effectively. Possesses and develops understanding of the oncologic process and oncologic emergencies. Knowledgeable to instruct patients and their support persons about disease, symptom management and treatment as well as advocate for their needs.
Minimum EducationGraduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN or CCNE) if they are a new graduate nurse. New graduates from non-accredited programs may be considered if they had a clinical rotation at a KH hospital.BSN preferred
Required Licenses[Ohio, United States] Registered NurseLicensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered NurseSuccessful completion of a Chemotherapy/Biotherapy administration course if working in an infusion center by the end of orientation or prior to hire.OCN certification preferredBLS certification
Minimum Work ExperienceAt least 3 years of oncology nursing experience required with preference given to RNs with oncology experience.
Manage patient care in the oncology clinic area which includes but is not limited to: Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Oncology Infusion Centers.• Follow KH policy and procedures for chemotherapy administration, radiation safety, and follow safety practices for patients, visitors and self.• Responsible for knowledge of drugs/chemotherapy/biotherapy/treatments and procedures provided.• Evaluate and initiate IV access, central line management and assessment of port function, if applicable.• Ongoing patient assessment prior to, during and following administration of treatment.• Ascertain patient symptoms in relation patient’s regimen and other oncologic modalities of treatment.• Assess and recognize oncologic emergencies and intervene appropriately.• Serve as an advocate for patients and their families in relation to their cancer treatment & diagnosis. Interact appropriately with patients and families who are in times of crisis.• Communicate effectively and appropriately with staff members and members of the interdisciplinary team.
