Position Overview

ICSJ is seeking a 6th Grade Head Volleyball Coach for the Spring 2026 season. This is a great opportunity for a coach who enjoys working with middle school athletes and helping them develop foundational volleyball skills in a positive, supportive environment.

Schedule & Time Commitment

• Practices: Once per week for 90 minutes
• Anticipated day/time: Mondays, 3:15–4:30 PM (flexible)
• Games: Once per week
• Friday evening or Saturday morning
• Teams: 2 teams total
• Parent assistant support will be available

Responsibilities

• Plan and run engaging, age-appropriate practices
• Teach fundamental volleyball skills, rules, and team concepts
• Lead and coach games during the season
• Foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and confidence in student-athletes
• Communicate effectively with athletic administration and parents as needed

Qualifications

• Prior volleyball playing or coaching experience preferred
• Experience working with middle school–aged athletes a plus
• Reliable, organized, and enthusiastic about youth sports
• Ability to commit to the full season schedule
