HOACNY provides cancer care services, Monday through Friday, day hours at three convenient locations in East Syracuse, Syracuse and Auburn. – Accounts Payable:
§ Sorts, codes, verifies, processes and enters accounts payable
§ Handles problem calls or inquires about invoices and checks
§ Scanning and filing of accounts payable and other records
§ Daily reconciliation of AP invoices to Purchase orders
§ Assists in check payment process (including printing of checks, matching checks with proper invoices, obtains required signatures and preparation for filing and timely mailing)
§ Works with Purchasing Specialist to identify pricing discrepancies
§ Maintain W-4 Vendor invoices
– Accounting Assistant:
- Responsible for recording of daily cash activity
- Prepare daily deposits
- Assist Purchasing specialists with ordering, deliveries and any other tasks that may come up
- Backup if needed for courier
· Maintains strictest confidentiality

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong Organizational skills
§ Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and systems
§ Knowledge of office management techniques and practices
§ Knowledge of computer systems and applications
§ Knowledge of research methods and procedures sufficient to compile data and prepare reports
§ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public
§ Ability to communicate and present information
§ Ability to read, interpret, and apply Practice policies and procedures
§ Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
§ Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities
§ Good analytical skills
§ Must maintain positive, productive, effective and professional attitude at all time
§ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Access
Education:
2 year AAS degree or related
Experience
3 year experience in business or related environment
