Sr. Cloud Security Architect (Privacy & Security)

BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The Sr. Cloud Security Architect is responsible for the design, development and promotion of a comprehensive cloud security program for Kubota North America. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our digital assets, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and enabling secure innovation in a hybrid cloud environment.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and security audits of cloud-based and on-premise systems.
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and product lifecycles.
• Lead incident response planning and post-event analysis for cloud-related security events.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC, GDPR).
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud security technologies.
• Designing and maintaining a secure development life cycle
• Partner with product and architecture teams to educate, evangelize, and validate secure development practices.
• Work closely with Cloud architects and engineers to identify and mitigate risks, perform security reviews, design top tier security practices, and help ensure delivery of secure technology products
• Perform analysis and develop metrics that measure current risk and effectively evaluate and manage threats.
• Analyze threats and current security controls to identify gaps in current defensive posture.
• Advise on secure architecture/design, attack surface area reduction, least privileged design, threat mitigations, and security standard methodologies.
• Proactively engaging with other Kubota departments to define initial requirements by analyzing threats and risks, facilitating security reviews to identity vulnerabilities, and testing and validating security requirements' alignment for new and redesigned deployments
• Analyzing the threats and risks to consider malware analysis, vulnerabilities, and known exploits
• Working with the application teams and IT groups by providing information on security practices, risk assessments, and supporting incident response in the investigation of incidents
• Working with internal and external groups to validate the proper security policies and standards are effectively operating
• Assist in the articulation and implementation of the security Strategy across Kubota departments and organization.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field required.
• Minimum of 10 years’ years of experience in IT security, with 3+ years in a cloud security architecture role.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security frameworks (NIST, CSA, CIS).
• A minimum of one of the following industry certifications is required: CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIPP desired.
